Public Information Session: Watershed Improvement Plan and Stormwater Management
Ramapo invites students, employees, and members of the public to participate in a Public Information Session regarding the College’s Stormwater Management Program and Watershed Improvement Plan. The session will provide an overview of Ramapo’s stormwater management program, current watershed and water-quality conditions on campus, ongoing and planned stormwater improvement initiatives, and opportunities for community involvement and feedback.Ìý Comments can be submitted to ehs@ramapo.edu.Ìý

The purpose of the Watershed Improvement Plan (WIP) is to identify opportunities to improve water quality, reduce stormwater contribution of pollutants to waterbodies with impairments and Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDLs), and to address stormwater flooding to protect human health and safety, and the environment.
Ramapo will complete a comprehensive WIP in three phases as listed below.
- Phase 1-Watershed Inventory Report, completed December 2025
- Phase 2-Watershed Assessment Report, anticipated completion date January 2027
- Phase 3-Watershed Improvement Plan Report, anticipated completion date December 2027
