\u00a0<\/strong>2026-2027 Winter Break Closing<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The College is offering an option for staff who work a 35 hour workweek to work additional hours during the fall semester to avoid using leave time for the winter break. The winter closing dates are December 24, 28, 29, 30, and 31, 2026.\u00a0 See Optional Adjusted Schedule below:<\/p>\n

Optional Adjusted Schedule \u2013 Employees that work a 35 hour week.<\/u><\/p>\n

For employees with a fixed workweek of 35 hours, you must work 1 additional\u00a0hour per day for 35 days starting October 1 \u2013 30,\u00a0 November 2-23, \u00a0to accumulate enough hours to take off the five days from December 24-31, 2026.<\/p>\n

Those employees in the 40 hour workweek group and those employees who do not wish to participate in this adjusted schedule will need to work (with Supervisor approval) on December 24, 28, 29, 30, 2026 or use their leave balances for any time off during this period.\u00a0 Employees can also work the Fall Holidays below to offset some of the time (with supervisor\u2019s approval):<\/p>\n

Unit Heads will need to send a listing of all employees in their unit that will be adjusting their schedules for October and November.\u00a0 Please send the listing by September 23, 2026 to POER@ramapo.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Vacation Carryover<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Vacation carryover is limited to one year of accrued time.\u00a0 Employees who earn time on a calendar year basis, please remember to review vacation balances and schedule your time prior to December 31, 2026 so you do not lose accrued time.\u00a0 If you are in jeopardy of losing vacation time, please meet with your supervisor as soon as possible.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
