This stream is located in the woods behind the Village apartments.\u00a0 It is a tributary of the Darlington Brook.\u00a0 The Darlington Brook is a sub-watershed within the larger °®ÒºAƬ River watershed, which serves as a major source of drinking water for northern New Jersey.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

Public Information Session: Watershed Improvement Plan and Stormwater Management<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Ramapo invites students, employees, and members of the public to participate in a Public Information Session regarding the College\u2019s Stormwater Management Program and Watershed Improvement Plan. The session will provide an overview of Ramapo\u2019s stormwater management program, current watershed and water-quality conditions on campus, ongoing and planned stormwater improvement initiatives, and opportunities for community involvement and feedback.\u00a0 Comments can be submitted to ehs@ramapo.edu<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Watershed Improvement Plan (WIP)<\/div>
\n
<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>Purpose<\/div>
\n

The purpose of the Watershed Improvement Plan (WIP) is to identify opportunities to improve water quality, reduce stormwater contribution of pollutants to waterbodies with impairments and Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDLs), and to address stormwater flooding to protect human health and safety, and the environment.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>Phases of the Watershed Improvement Plan<\/div>
\n

Ramapo will complete a comprehensive WIP in three phases as listed below.<\/p>\n

  1. Phase 1-Watershed Inventory Report, completed December 2025<\/li>\n
  2. Phase 2-Watershed Assessment Report, anticipated completion date January 2027<\/li>\n
  3. Phase 3-Watershed Improvement Plan Report, anticipated completion date December 2027<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
